Championing life with CIDP

Welcome to Klim Foundation

The KLIM Foundation has been established by World Champion swimmer and Olympic Gold Medallist, Michael Klim OAM -himself a CIDP sufferer- to shed light on the disorder and provide much needed information and everyday support for sufferers, and ultimately champion finding a therapeutic solution through funding medical research and trials.

About CIDP

CIDP is a rare neurological disorder that attacks our body’s nerve fibres, numbing and weakening arm and leg muscles and striking down thousands of Australians – and possibly millions globally.Darkness surrounds the disorder. Currently there is no known therapeutic solution. Or united medical effort to find one.

“When I was finally diagnosed with CIDP my doctor told me that this was going to be the greatest challenge of my life. That’s an interesting thing to tell an athlete!”
